On Sunday, May 5th, Chris Crean, a volunteer in the Hauppauge Fire Department will be participating in the NYC Firefighter Stair Climb at 3 World Trade Center. Chris will be climbing the building steps up 78 flights in full fireman turn-out gear and breathing apparatus in memory of his mentor and friend Ray Meisenheimer. In addition to being a Hauppauge volunteer, Ray was also a member of FDNY Rescue 3 and was taken from us on 9-11.

All proceeds from the stair climb will benefit Companions in Courage Foundation (www.CiC16.org). This foundation was created by NHL Hall of Famer Pat LaFontaine to connect pediatric patients with their family, classmates and heroes. We are inspired by our fellow firefighters to make a difference in the lives of those in need.

Please consider supporting Chris with a donation here. Donations will also be accepted by mail at Companions in Courage Foundation, P.O. Box 768, Huntington, NY 11743.
