Steve Kowalski, a grade school teacher in Michigan, ran the NYC Marathon in 2016 in support of Companions

in Courage Foundation. His students and the community supported him in such a warm way, he decided to up the ante in 2021.

Kowalski will attempt to run a “Hat Trick” of marathons this year in support of the children’s charity. The marathons are: North Country in Manistee, MI (August 8), Virtual Boston Marathon (October 11) and the Cleveland Marathon (October 24).

The Main Street Mile has become the perfect way for families to kick off Labor Day weekend. Every participant receives a cool shirt and is eligible for prizes in a host of categories.
